Description

On the way to the Puigmal, marmots' territory.

The Núria Sanctuary Route to the hole of the Funnel begins at Núria's sanctuary, initially following the course of the Finestrelles river.
After crossing the river, we will go over the left-hand side of the river until we cross the torrent of the Coma de l'Embut. We will be accompanied by some specimens of black pine, but we can also observe the attractive and at the same time toxic monk's-hood, the yellow gentian, the egg yolk and some orchids.
We continue now upstream through rocky terrain until reaching the hole in the Funnel (forat de l’Embut), the highest point of the route and where we will cross the torrent and change direction.
On our way back, we will follow the Puigmal road, first between meadows and then a beautiful black pine forest. The descent will always be accompanied by a spectacular view of the Olla de Núria, and also views to the lake and sanctuary of Núria.
