Description

Between farmhouses and channels

Set off from the Masos dels Recs carpark towards heading west, crossing the Torroella road firstly and following the Camí de Can Nicet until you cross the Rec de Cinyana further on.

You will walk through farmland, predominantly orchards of fruit trees. Having passed Mas Martí, the route changes direction turning to the north until it comes to the Rec del Molí, flanked by riverside vegetation including white willows and ash.

You now follow the GIB-6322 towards l’Escala for about a hundred metres, and then leave it to head for the fortified Mas de Vilanera, an impressive structure which dominates the scenery.

Continue along the route through farmland towards a pine grove where the star is a large stone pine known as the Pi Gros.

From here, all that remains is to follow the Camí de Cal Guanter as far as Can Jepot and Can Reding, the starting point of this enjoyable and interesting route in l’Escala.
