Introduction
A large archaeological site spanning the municipalities of Viladecans, Gavà and Castelldefels. A few hundred metres from the Camí Ral or carretera de València, the sea reached this area during Iberian and Roman times.
The extraction of aggregates in the 1960s uncovered this “anchorage”: an ancient open harbour with remains of shipwrecks. Amphorae, ceramics and various materials resulting from these shipwrecks have been found here.
