Introduction

This route, because of the great views it offers, and because of the height at which we are, is a very good place for bird watching.
One of the most common we can find is the common vulture (Gyps fulvus) (foto), which flies looking for corpses to be able to feed.
The ecological function of these animals is vital, eliminating corpses of meadows and mountains, thus avoiding the spread of diseases.
Although they are birds of prey and their size does not have the ability to hunt. They are carrioners, that is, they do not attack to feed themselves, but it has been detected that they can feed on newborns or very sick individuals.
