Introduction

This hill, about 300 metres high, shared by the municipalities of Viladecans, Sant Climent de Llobregat and Sant Boi de Llobregat, is crowned by the Sant Ramon Hermitage, built between 1885 and 1887 by Josep Estruch i Comella in memory of his father, Ramon Estruch i Ferrer. Previously, a boundary stone marked the municipal limits.

The many offerings seen inside the hermitage are linked to a local tradition: every 31 August, the Sant Ramon pilgrimage takes place.

In medieval times, this mountain was known as Mount Golbes, a name preserved in the font de Golbes along the ascent path. Until the 1950s, the entire mountain was cultivated with vineyards and cherry trees.

This elevated site was ideal for Iberian settlements, and remains of an Iberian village were once located here. This is also a privileged site for observing migratory birds, especially between September and October.
