Introduction
In this harsh environment there are animals and plants that have specialized, as in the case of sea fennel (foto). It only looks like fennel for its flowering in the form of an umbrella.
It lives among the rocks in the coastal and saline environments, if you look at the rocks, you will find it. It has fleshy and clear leaves and concentrates important amounts of ascorbic acid (vitamin C), iodine, bromine and other minerals.
The transoceanic sailors used it to avoid scurvy eating it in the form of salt marshes, in fact, Mallorca consumes so much that it has had to be protected.
