Introduction
Viladecans has it all, and this circular route, not too long and with little elevation change, which can be done on foot or by bicycle, makes it clear.
We will walk through the urban fabric, discovering a wide range of Viladecans’ diverse architectural heritage, while also observing the current commercial, social, and human vitality of the town.
From the medieval historic center, through the working-class neighborhoods of the mid-20th century, to the new modern residential sectors, we will learn part of the town’s history through its buildings.
Additionally, you are invited to enjoy the commercial axes and street life of the old center, where a wide variety of gastronomic services make the walk more enjoyable.

Description
We begin the itinerary in the old center, next to Can Modolell, the current Town Hall. Those doing the route by bike should follow the track, but if walking, we suggest continuing along Carrer Major until reconnecting with the track at Carrer de Sant Josep.
We continue along Avinguda de Gavà, passing in front of the Viladecans Hospital, of monumentalist style, until reaching Poblat Roca, where the geometry and arrangement of the apartment blocks seem to organize the space.
Next, along Avinguda del Doctor Fleming, ascending toward Parc de Can Palmer, where the Church of Santa Maria de Sales immediately draws our attention.
We continue along Avinguda del Mil·lenari and, on the left, modest blocks called Grup Hispanitat, just before the Mossos d’Esquadra police station, reminiscent of the construction style of Poblat Roca.
We return to the urban fabric and arrive at the Viladecans Library, built on the site of the former Mas de Can Xic, deeply remodeled, which we will see next.
Several alleys lead us to the Parish Church of Sant Joan. At this point, you can choose to close the route by going straight and descending via Carrer d’Àngel Guimerà to the Torre del Baró (end of the route), or continue along Carrer de la Muntanya to Mas de Can Ginestar, today with its small oak grove integrated into the urban fabric.
We descend toward Plaça de les Panes and continue straight toward the Riera de Viladecans, which, once crossed, leads to the Torre-roja area. Here we find the institutes and, in front of them, the modern CAP, contrasting with the residential apartment buildings in the background.
We continue along Avinguda de Clara Campoamor (Barri de Llevant) until reaching the Viladecans Funeral Home, located below the cemetery and the Ermita de Santa Maria de Sales.
We backtrack along the avenue to Carrer de Rosa Parks, where the Bòbila de Sales Chimney is located, and from there, passing behind the Pòdium Viladecans-Joan Masgrau sports complex, we reach the Torre-roja and the park of the same name, a large green space to explore.
Continuing in the same direction toward the Riera de Sant Climent, now underground, we descend until reaching Carrer de les Sitges, at the end of the Rambla de Modolell. Next, we arrive at Ca n’Amat – Viladecans Museum, from where descending via Carrer d’Àngel Guimerà, in a few meters we reach the Gardens of Magdalena Modolell and Torre del Baró, next to Plaça de la Vila, the starting point of the itinerary.
