Description
The Forest Park of Platja d’Aro
On this treasurehunt trail we will discover and learn more about some of the animals that surround us.
If you are following the route with our app, as soon as you reach a game point, you must do the following
- Read the clues to find the hidden character
- Press the play button when your position on the trail is above the map point.
- Once you have found the animal, swipe the screen to identify it.
Start near the Rosa dels Vents roundabout and take the main path to the Piug Pinell Park.
Immediately start to hike up a cultivated pine hill, dotted with suros (cork oaks). You will soon find the first statue. Continue uphill, passing smaller paths, until you reach a path that leads up to the right.
This takes you to a more open environment until you reach an ascending path We continue uphill, crossing a high shrubby formation until we reach the highest point. Here we can enjoy the stunning views, especially on the backside where the Ridaura valley is drawn into the landscape.
We follow the wide track and go down to a hill where we will find another figure, and from here, after a few meters, we arrive at the viewpoint tower of Puig Pinell. Time to relax and enjoy again.
We go downright, heading east along a trail with wooden stairs. We find a track where we turn left. Watch out! After a few meters, we leave the track to take a path to the right, a little hidden one that leads us straight down to the harbour.
We must not walk until the street below. Before, we will turn left along an open, flat trail parallel to the street but ascending.
After finding another figure, the trail becomes a path and seems to be lost in the vegetation, but don’t worry, just follow the direction of the track and everything will be fine.
We turn left at a fence and walk up just as far as we have gone down before, until we get back to the path, past an abandoned camping site, seems to be an unfinished project.
As soon as we get back on the trail, we turn right, we’ll find some bird figures on the way down and we’ll than reach the starting point.
